- Organic Cotton Baby Towels Natural Bed Company
Organic cotton waffle towels with a hood and plenty of room to wrap them up after a bath.
- Divine Savages Shower Curtains Divine Savages
Bring a bit of glamour and colour to the bathroom with these washable shower curtains that come with their own hanging rings. Attaching a plain inner curtain is recommended.
- Cotton terry bath sheet H&M HOME
Towels are the secret weapon of interior design in bathrooms, where more often than not there will be a lot of white. Use them to add a burst of colour or even make it feel like you have completely redecorated. And then, if you are feeling really bold, paint the ceiling to match. These ones come in a range of lovely warm shades, including ochre and forest.
- Brass Portrait Mirror Cox & Cox
A really simple design that's more than the sum of its parts. Hang in a bedroom, a hall or – if you have two basins – as a pair. It doesn’t matter if your taps are chrome by the way, mirrors are silver in themselves so they can work with silver taps.
- Jute laundry basket H&M HOME
Laundry baskets are one of these things we all need but there are so many around it can take too much of your life trying to find the right one. There are more exciting things to research (like shoes) so this is a good one, with the handles woven as part of the overall design. It’s 30 quid, so buy as many as you need and get back to the shoes.
- Refillable Clear Glass Bottle With Metal Pump Not on the high street
More and more companies are coming round the idea of refillable products now, so get yourself some nice bottles and away you go. These are made from recycled glass as well.
- Wall Mounted Soap Holder Bracket Not on the high street
When you run out of horizontal storage space you need to go vertical and use the walls. This is perfect for a small bathroom and comes in brass, silver or black. Do as the hotels do and have one for the soap and one for the moisturiser. In fact, post-pandemic, I might add a third for hand sanitiser.
- Striped guest towels H&M HOME
I appreciate that having guests isn’t really the thing these days so this might be a bit of a misnomer but it’s so much nicer to dry your hands on a nice towel in the kitchen than on the wet tea towel. These also work well in the downstairs loo as they are small.
- Oval Reusable Ultra Soft Makeup Remover Pad MyLittleEcoShop
Rated by The Good Housekeeping Institute as the best re-usable make-up remover pad, add this to your eco arsenal. It’s also supposed to work with just water. And black means it won’t show the stains as much. I had some white ones and they went grey rather fast which did slightly remove the enjoyment. Most reusables are supposed to last for a minimum of 500 washes so, along with the bamboo toothbrushes you could do an annual shop.

- Split™ 6L Steel Waste & Recycling Bin Joseph Joseph
Lots of us are in control of recycling in the kitchen but it seems to fall apart in the bathroom - which is probably about not having the right bin. Joseph Joseph (twin brothers btw) are brilliant at looking at existing products and tweaking them to make them better. This is one of those items. Two compartments; one for general and one for recycling. Job done.
