Storage
We all want to be effortlessly organised. Take the sweat out of storage with our selection of the best cupboards, cabinets, shelves and boxes.

- Luxore Buffet Sideboard La Redoute
This scalloped fronted sideboard is a dupe for Superfront, who make replacement doors and handles for Ikea kitchens. The good news is it's only 42cm deep which is big enough for A4 storage (amply so) as well as plates and crockery but means you might, just, have room in a hall or kitchen. Sideboards are also great in home offices as places to hide ugly files and printers etc.
- Black Arch Metal and Glass Cabinet Rose & Grey
An industrial-style metal cabinet with fashionable arched doors and fluted glass to the sides - which will do a good job of blurring the mess if you wanted to use it as office storage although it's clear at the front so you won't entirely escape the display element.
- AYTM Unity Large Half Circle Tray Amara
Trays are one of the most useful things you can own - they are great for styling; grouping items on tables - as well as useful. I have them in both my bathroom and on my desk as well as in the kitchen. Combine beauty and usefulness with these geometric shaped trays - half circles, quarter circles - in varying sizes to make storage pretty as well as practical. The colours are gorgeous too.
- Rotary Tray by Vitra Heals
This beautifully simple tray is perfect for a busy desk with two layers for those who struggle to contain the spread of stuff. But it works equally well on the hall table, or even in the kitchen for fruit - everyone knows bananas don't like to mix. So buy one and move it around or splash out on a pair. The top is the rotating part.
- Safety Pin Office Storage Cox & Cox
This is a fun addition to a wall over a desk - use pegs to attach notes or postcards of inspiring views as well as string and scissors. You might also be able to hang a mug and fill it with pens. At least trying will be a welcome bit of procrastination from the accounts.
- USM storage USM
USM is a Swiss company that was created in the 60s to furnish a factory making ball bearings. The joy is that it is all adaptable and customisable so you can start with a small bedside table and extend and adapt it into an entire media unit. The colours are deliberately restricted so that you can be sure of an exact match with a piece you bought thirty years ago. Known more for their commercial spaces, USM are moving into residential with their adaptable, durable and classic designs.
- Petite Cabinet Cox & Cox
Tall and thin (63cm wide and 36cm deep) this should tuck into the smallest of corners and is perfect for those whose offices are in their bedrooms - as it will hold files and papers just as well as shoes and t-shirts. There is another one without the door billed as a bookcase.
- Orson desk accessories SCP
We may have moved on from wanting a new pencil case every September but the feeling of new desk accessories can still thrill.
- Krossing Shelving Unit Small The Conran Shop
An aluminium frame that provides a minimal looking backdrop for displays of plants and objects but will also disappear/fade into the background if filled with books for example. Again you can start small and build up as you require. This also works well as a room divider - work stuff facing one way, novels the other.

- Tower Shelving System Tall Starter Pack Heal's
Stores are beginning to understand the need for multi-functional rooms and furniture and this is one example of a shelving unit that you can add to and reconfigure as your needs and rooms change. This starter pack comes with two shelving modules and six shelves and you can build out from there as space and budget permit.
